We're proud of the villa. We want our visitors to have a wonderful experience in luxurious surroundings.

Casa Carlos is NOT for people who think it's cool to do damage or make a mess.  If you aren't the type of people who leave a place much as they found it, don't even think of coming here.

We're pleased to give you all kinds of info about the house, the area, the services available and suggestions to make your vacation superb.  In return, we will want some info about you so that we'll be sure that, after you go, our maid will be able to clean up reasonably quickly and make the villa ready for whoever is next to visit. 

COSTA RICA IS A "LIVE AT YOUR OWN RISK" kind of place. Unlike Canada and the States, it is expected that you will take care of yourself. So:

    - Do not expect us to be your insurers.  You take the premises as they are as far as personal risks and liabilities. If you have a complaint about, for example, maid service, cleanliness, noise or any other such thing - please tell us.  We will do our best to accommodate you.  We do our best to make sure that the premises are reasonably safe but you take them as you find them for safety purposes.  If you judge that something is unsafe (for example - there is no lifeguard; somebody could hit bottom in the pool if they dive in head first; the floors - especially of the showers -are slippery when wet), either stay and accept risks or leave and ask for a refund!  JUST LIKE ON A SKI HILL OR AN AMUSEMENT RIDE - GO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

    - carry travel medical insurance.  We suggest that you       consider something like BCCA's insurance (One World Assist)  From experience (unfortunately), we can tell you that they rush in to assist you and come through in the pinch!

We will want the following:

- full payment for your stay guaranteed by your Visa card

- a RELEASE of LIABILITY - Ride at your own risk, right??

- a damage deposit secured by your Visa, which will be released the day you depart (details will be discussed with you before we finalize arrangements)

- the passport information (Name, nationality, Passport number) for all people who will be staying

- permanent address and related information

Our goal is to provide a beautiful environment, at a reasonable rate.  Making sure that only those people who will appreciate the villa can rent it  keeps the rate down for everyone.  If you want to rent the villa but find some difficulty with any of the above conditions, please email us or call.
