Fishing

Up

Fishing trips here are like a fisherman's wetdream (??)

For 3 or 4 people, it's about $250 for about 5 hours on onshore fishing (haven't tried off-shore - hear it can be marvelous). That includes a few beer, fruit (pineapple, watermelon and so forth are almost always aboard) and bottled water.

Bring your own hats, sunblock and "cover ups" like tropical weight long sleeve shirts and pants. The boats have some shade but for North Americans it can get really hot!

Enough crying about the horrible weather, already!  Time for some fishing pix!

You'll notice that there were no fish pix with the guy taking the pix (Yeah, really, there were three of us out there with the guides!)  Oh, well, just like the designated driver, there has to be a designated picture taker, eh?

No matter what, you gotta love a day out there!

By the way:  for those of you who are interested: the larger one of the two rooster fish Gordon (the dude in the yellow hat with the grin like the canary who ate the cat) caught was about 50 pounds after it was gutted!!  A light snack for 50 or 60 people!
