If you're looking for a great place to stay in Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula, come to our villa! Air conditioned comfort, a beautiful tropical garden and a fantastic swimming pool. Just minutes from the ocean (more for walking and sightseeing than swimming) and and a few minutes by car from a fabulous beach, Playa Tambor (Tambor Beach) on Bahia Ballenas (Whale Bay). Tambor Beach is about 5 or 6 miles of (usually) deserted beach - warm water, gentle waves. Please don't be afraid of our pet alligator: he hasn't moved since he was set in concrete!
The front door has a mask on the wall next to it - no evil spirits may enter!
The main house sleeps up to six people. Two bathrooms, ceramic floors throughout, full kitchen and a beautiful bar-style table that will seat eight or ten for party-time! There's also a casita ("little house") which is a self-contained one bedroom apartment. It has a queen-sized bed, fridge, two burner stove, microwave, shower and so on! It's perfect for overflow from the main house or for one or two people who want to get away from it all quite cheaply. And its door is only 50 feet from the pool! Of course, it's air conditioned! So much to do in the area, if you feel energetic. Or spend the day lounging around the pool or maybe go to the huge beach at Playa Tambor! So many choices, none of them bad! Costa Rica is a place where you can just hang out if that's what you fell like!
Or, use CASA CARLOS as your main base and branch out to Arenal Volcano and the hot springs that flow from the volcano's depths like Tabacon Hot Springs, the Monteverde Cloud Forest or to the Osa Peninsula. Or just drop over to San Jose for a day or so to see what the big city is like.
